Rainbow Services was funded by the Harlow Health Centres Trust to run the Harlow Health Navigator Project, for two years, up to the end of June 2016. This was in response to the 'Putting Patients First Agenda'. 

 

The project's aim was to map services across health, social care and the voluntary sector in order to inform individuals and organisations about what services are available and how to access them.

 

Rainbow Services also run the Voluntary Sector Forum in Harlow, which provides a platform and a voice for all voluntary sector services in the town.

Harlow Health Centres Trust

Harlow Health Centres Trust owns and is responsible for seven health centres in Harlow. These health centres are unusual in that they provide not only GP services but where appropriate, dentistry, pharmaceutical services and other specialist services. Since 1994 the Trust has embarked on a programme of redeveloping existing buildings and providing new health facilities in Harlow.

 

Since 2001 the Trust has given grants to organisations and individuals with similar aims and in January 2014 the Trust approved a grant of £158,000 for the Health Navigator Project for a two year period.
